Nokia unveils East Africa warranty plan

Thursday 2 February 2012 | 11:27 CET | News
Nokia is launching a twelve-month warranty scheme giving after-sales support in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. It provides online support as well as exchange and repair services through Nokia's care centres. These care centres also serve as collection points for old phones. Brenda Okwiri, Head of Care Channels for Nokia East Africa, said the care centres employ specially trained technicians and that only genuine parts are used in repairs. To cater for rural markets, Nokia has signed up over 50 collection points across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania where phones can be dropped off for repair.
