Thailand's National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) will drum up interest for its upcoming 3G licence auction among overseas operators. The NTC will hold roadshows in a number of foreign countries and the regulator will also approach NTT Docomo, KDDI, China Mobile, Telekom Malaysia, Maxis, Optus, Telstra, Tata, Bharti Airtel, Orange, and Vodafone, the Nation reports citing NTC commissioner Natee Sukonrat. The NTC will be auctioning off three licences, each with a 15-year term. The licences are in 15 MHz blocks in the 2.1 GHz frequency band. The starting price has been set at THB 12.8 billion.
