Numericable adds African, Chinese, Arab, Comores TV packages

French cable operator Numericable has introduced four more TV channel bouquets "aimed at all its subscribers". The African, Chinese, Arab and Comores Island channel packages cost EUR 6.99 and EUR 9.99, EUR 8.99, EUR 9.99 and EUR 6.99, respectively. The basic bouquet for Africa comprises nine channels from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Benin, Mali and Cameroun, a number of which feature content in African languages. The premium bouquet for Africa adds four channels, the generalist pan-African channel Africable, Guinea's RTG, Cameroonian and international news channel Canal 2 International and the country's second national channel, STV2. The Chinese bouquet consists of twelve channels, including CCTV in French, foreign-language entertainment channel Dragon TV, Phoenix Chinese, CCTV News, and the remainder being composed of regional channels in Mandarin or Cantonese. The Arab bouquet of six channels includes pan-Arab news and entertainment channel MBC, Art Aflam 1 and Rotana Cinema for film, Rotana Clip for music and Iqraa TV for religion. A seventh channel, Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation's LBC Europe, costs an extra EUR 2.99. The Comores package is one channel from public broadcaster ORTC. All are available on the "Mes chaines du Monde" portal on Numericable channel 400.
