Numericable rents films for EUR 1 on 'VoD day'

French cable operator Numericable has launched a one-day VoD promotion, 'La fete du VoD', with TF1 on 13 December, offering customers a catalogue of over 200 films to watch for only EUR 1 each and five new films for EUR 1.99 each. The cabler is listing feature films as early as 4 months after their cinema release. It rented over 700,000 VoD films a month this year. Numericable's Video Club service carries titles from 54 partners, including 28 catch-up TV channels, 22 VoD boutiques and 20 subscription VoD services. Customers use a multi-boutique search function and can order films at numericable.tv or via the Ma TV iPhone app.
