OCP Telco Project welcomes AT&T, DT, EE, SK Telecom, Verizon

The Open Compute Project (OCP) will be creating a new OCP Telco Project focused on data centre technologies for telecom companies and announced that a number of leading operators and companies will join OCP and help drive the project, including AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, EE, SK Telecom and Verizon.

The new project will be an open forum to advance a number of objectives such as communicating telco technical requirements effectively to the OCP community, strengthening the OCP ecosystem to address the deployment and operational needs of telcos, and bringing OCP innovations to telco data center infrastructure for increased cost-savings and agility.
