Omantel, Belgacom make joint investment in Europe India Gateway
Omantel and Belgacom ICS have announced the next step in their partnership with a joint investment in the Europe India Gateway. Belgacom has invested through Omantel in the deployment of the Europe India Gateway, a direct, high bandwidth optical-fibre submarine cable system from the United Kingdom to India. This joint investment in the EIG will enable both companies to optimise cost structures and secure enough capacity to serve future needs.
