On Digital Media confirms CEO exit talks

South Africa's On Digital Media (ODM) has confirmed that its board is in talks with its CEO Vino Govender about a "mutual separation",TechCentral reported, crediting the Mail & Guardian as having broken the news originally. ODM chairman Eddie Mbalo said the discussions are not concluded yet so the company will not comment further. Govender is ODM's founding CEO and was closely involved in its licensing and in building the business. Recently, its pay-TV unit TopTV clashed with the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) over its plans to launch a range of adult channels. ODM's shareholders include European satellite group SES, the Industrial Development Corporation and a number of black empowerment groupings.
