Optimus first in Portugal to adopt new SIM change method

Friday 5 October 2012 | 21:20 CET | News
Portuguese mobile telephony operator Optimus has become the first on the local market to introduce an innovative system of changing SIM cards, on the occasion of the launch of the iPhone 5. The initiative has been a big success, being already used on a large scale by existing Optimus customers who purchased the new smartphone during the first week of sales. The operator includes a Nano SIM card free of charge with each iPhone 5. After purchasing the equipment, the customer can change the current number to the new card from home, just by calling 800 93 0000 from the old card, informing the company about the new telephone and the PIN of the new card. The service is completely free of charge.
