Optus to evolve 4G Plus brand

Australian operator Optus will evolve its ‘4G Plus’ brand to encompass its entire 4G network. The expanding 4G Plus network is expected to reach 90 percent of the Australian population by April this year. Optus’ 4G Plus network is a multiband network that uses a combination of spectrum (LTE 700/1800/2100/2300/2600 MHz), with 700 MHz to underpin coverage nationally.

Optus is already offering 4G Plus network services in over 100 regional and holiday locations including Albury, Ballarat, Cairns, Port Augusta, Bunbury in the west and Snug in Tasmania. Optus customers with compatible 700 MHz devices such as the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S5, LG G3, Sony Xperia Z3 and HTC One (M8) will be able to access Optus’ expanding 4G Plus network.
