Wednesday 26 September 2012 | 14:11 CET | News
Orange Austria has confirmed that it not use any special actions, such as early store opening, for the launch of the new iPhone due to limited stock availability. It is receiving almost 2,500 registrations a day for the new smartphone. Existing customers have ordered over 2,000 devices online since 21 September. New customers have been able to order an iPhone 5 online since 24 September. The phone will go on sale in Austria on 28 September. The operator will prioritise its stock to ensure that existing customers get their phones first. The iPhone 5 is available from EUR 199 for existing and from EUR 299 for new customers. Orange is waiving the EUR 49.90 activation charge for new customers until end-September.
