Orange Spain, CTIC launch children's web safety portal

Friday 21 December 2012 | 18:42 CET | News
Orange Spain has launched a family information portal to advise parents and teachers on the use of ICT by minors. Called "Navega Seguro" (Navigate Safely), the centre was developed in partnership with the CTIC Information Society Foundation. It instructs adults on how to handle situations when children are victims of so-called "sexting" and cyber bullying. Orange Spain will continue its sponsorship of discussions with pupils in partnership with the Protegeles (Protect Them) programme backed by the European Commission's office in Spain. Over 1,800 children were taught the risks and benefits of ICT in the first half the year alone.
