PCCW eyes Leighton's telecom assets - report

Hong Kong communications company PCCW is interested in the telecommunications infrastructure assets of Australian conglomerate Leighton, the Business Spectator writes citing an Australian Financial Review report. The assets are valued at around AUD 1 billion and include fibre business Nextgen Networks, data centre operator Metronode, and cloud computing company Infoplex. PCCW reportedly made it to the second round of the sales process. Final bids are due by the end of this month, and TPG Telecom is still considered the favourite for the assets.
