RealNetworks appoints Uomoto as senior vice president

Digital entertainment services company RealNetworks has promoted Scott Uomoto to the position of senior vice president. Uomoto oversees the company's sales, marketing and operations for its RealPlayer, SuperPass and Helix lines of business, in addition to business management for its Unifi personal media cloud-based service. Uomoto joined the company more than nine years ago. He has made contributions to Real's Core and Emerging Products divisions. Uomoto has 22 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Real, he held positions at various start-ups including Network Commerce and TechWave.
