Digital entertainment services company RealNetworks has begun the worldwide roll-out of Unifi, its cross-platform media cloud service, starting in Germany. Vodafone Germany subscribers can sign up for this service. With Unifi, users can store their digital media, including photos, music and videos, in the cloud and have access from anywhere with an internet connection. They can also take a photo on their iPhone or Android phone and save it to the cloud and share photos in their library on Facebook. Unifi also enables users to access their iTunes music collection on their Android phone. Unifi will next be offered to North American customers, starting this fall at realunifi.com. In Germany, the service will cost EUR 2.99 per month for 10GB, EUR 4.99 for 30GB and EUR 9.99 for 70GB, with billing provided through Vodafone. The Unifi software is compatible with Windows, Mac, iOS and Android devices as well as Facebook, and integration for BlackBerry will start this summer.
