Rhapsody acquires Napster
Digital music service Rhapsody has agreed to buy rival Napster from Best Buy. No takeover price was disclosed, but Best Buy said it would receive a minority stake in Rhapsody as part of the deal. The takeover is expected to close by the end of November. Both companies offer subscription music services in the US over a range of devices, including online, mobile and TVs.

Digital music service Rhapsody is changing its name to Napster. Rhapsody said there will be no change to its service otherwise, with the same music and prices. It acquired Napster in 2011.
