Rostelecom expands Ethernet network in Magadan

Russian national operator Rostelecom has deployed its Ethernet network in Dukcha, the suburb of Magadan. The expansion of the network became possible after the deployment of a fibre optical line connecting Magadan and Snezhnaya-Dolina. The operator is offering subscribers IPTV and VoD services, as well as higher broadband speeds. The operator's Ethernet network in Magadan has a capacity of around 15,000 ports, with an expansion to 17,000 ports planned for this year.
