Rostelecom prepares OTT calls, messaging app
Russian national operator Rostelecom has announced a call for designing an online portal and mobile application for an OTT communications service, reports Vedomosti. The 'OTT Communications' service is focused on the B2C segment. The Hallo project will enable the operator to launch a service supporting IP voice calls and messaging. The service is planned launch this summer for customers with Android and iOS devices. It will work on the networks of all operators and be a paid service. The national operator registered the Hallo brand in autumn of 2015.
