RTL is integrating the application for streaming of its live signal for iOS devices into its RTL Now application for catch-up television, Onlinekosten.de reported. This means the RTL Now app now offers all of RTL's programming in one place. It also enables viewers to watch content in advance of official broadcasting, using their iPhone or iPad. The RTL archive is available on the app, too, but this is chargeable.
There is a two-week listing service for RTL programming as well. Viewers can which series to which they have subscribed on their mobile devices using their Now login, at now extra charge. The application is currently in testing for 30 days and is available free via the Apple app store, after which RTL plans to charge EUR 1.79 per month, EUR 8.99 per half-year or EUR 15.99 for a whole year.
