Safaricom opens new retail centre in Nairobi

Kenyan operator Safaricom has opened a retail unit at the recently opened Galleria Shopping Mall in Nairobi. The new Safaricom Shop is expected to serve the firm's growing customer base around Bomas, Langata, Ongata Rongai and Karen, among others. Safaricom currently has over 35 retail outlets spread across Kenya, and the company is expected to open more outlets in Machakos, Kitui, Garissa, Nakumatt Junction, Maua, Narok and Kericho. In addition, the company will open one experience centre and 20 mini shops across the country. It costs about KES 30 million to set-up one Safaricom Shop.
