Sling TV adds multi-stream service for same price

Dish Network's OTT service Sling TV has launched a new beta service allowing customers to stream multiple channels at once. Priced at the same USD 20 per month as its standard service, the new offer includes live and on-demand content and the ability to stream on up to three devices simultaneously in or outside the home.

In addition to a number of Fox channels, the beta service’s base and Extra packages include content from AMC, A&E, HBO, Turner, Scripps, EPIX and Univision. It can be purchased with or without the current Sling TV single-stream service. The first week is offered free with no contract ties.

Customers can add Extra packages with more channels, including Hollywood Extra, Lifestyle Extra, World News Extra, HBO and Cinemax. The agreement with Fox includes live channels and local sports in 17 major markets, with more affiliates to be added in future, Sling said. Outside these 17 markets, only on-demand content from Fox will be available. In addition, Sling customers will soon be able to use their Sling credentials to log into Fox's mobile apps.
