Japanese telecommunications provider Softbank Mobile and cloud client computing specialist Wyse Technology have collaborated to provide remote desktop access and multi-device content management to Softbank Mobile customers. The collaboration will result in consumer and enterprise services based on the Wyse PocketCloud Remote Desktop and Wyse PocketCloud Explore products. The collaboration demonstrates Wyse PocketCloud's emergence as a global force within the mobile enterprise and content management markets. Softbank Mobile will feature Wyse mobile technology in services as the two companies collaborate on advanced remote desktop access and content management for Softbank Mobile customers. This technology allows users to create a personal cloud to access data and applications on their personal and work desktops from their smartphones and tablets. Wyse PocketCloud turns mobile devices into computing machines by allowing users to securely access and run their desktop or laptop on-the-go. This includes accessing media and working in applications such as Microsoft Office and Apple iWork. Wyse PocketCloud Explore is a mobile application for searching, viewing, and organising files across multiple computers, providing a centralised place to find everything, including files on mobile devices. Financial terms are not being disclosed.
