Software downloads used by 1 in 3 Germans - study

One in three Germans (29%) downloaded software from the internet in 2011, according to Eurostat data released by ICT industry group Bitkom. The use of software downloads by Germans and Austrians is above the EU average, with software downloads only more popular in Scandinavian countries. In Germany, double the number of men download software than women.
