Starman wins tender for digital TV frequencies

Estonian cable operator Starman has won the tender for a digital TV multiplex. Starman said it will broadcast 24 TV channels over digital terrestrial, bringing further competition to help combat the increase in prices in the TV market. Starman already provides free-to-air TV over the ZUUMtv pat-TV platform. Estonia completed the switch to digital broadcasting in July 2010. The main digital transmission company is Levira, jointly owned by the state and TDF.
