Swan launches LTE services in Trnava
Slovak operator Swan launched LTE data services in Trnava, reports Mobilmania.sk. Unlimited data costs EUR 5 a month, and initially, until 28 February 2015, is free. The service is offered without commitment and supports speeds up to 50/10 Mbps. The theoretical maximum speed of the network is 73/23 Mbps. The operator estimates that the minimum speed in practice will be 5 Mbps. To buy the service in Trnava, the customer needs to visit the operator's shop in the city and get a Huawei USB modem for EUR 69 and a SIM card for EUR 5. For the moment, the operator will not offer voice or SMS services. Swan's launch marks the fourth mobile network in Slovakia, after the company acquired spectrum earlier this year.
