Swisscom submits Fastweb takeover prospectus to Consob

Monday 20 September 2010 | 20:05 CET | News
Swisscom has submitted the prospectus relating to the proposed takeover of minority stakes in Fastweb to Italian stock exchange regulator Consob for review. Swisscom announced earlier in September that it planned to acquire 17.92 percent of shares from minority shareholders via subsidiary Swisscom Italia. Swisscom assumes that the offer period will start in the second week of October and will probably end in mid-November. Swisscom will announce the exact dates of the offer period as soon as Consob has approved the prospectus. The purchase price offered to the minority shareholders is EUR 18 per share in cash, for a total purchase price of EUR 256 million. Swisscom already controls 82.08 percent of Fastweb.
