
The National Communications Commission (NCC) has announced the floor price for the second round of 4G spectrum bidding, with the total amount pegged at TWD 14.4 billion, The China Post reports. The list price is for the spectrum between 2.5 and 2.6 GHz. The NCC will accept applications until 4 September.
There will be various rounds of bidding to compete for six licenses. The starting price is TWD 3.5 billion for the D1 license, TWD 3.7 billion for the D2 license, TWD 3.7 billion for D3, TWD 1.9 billion for D4, TWD 900 million for D5, and TWD 700 million for D6. The NCC plans to issue the licenses by year-end.
