Mobile equipment provider TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) will incorporate the broadband satellite networks and services provider Hughes Network Systems' HX VSAT system in its TCS HX Enabled Secure Satellite Network. The network service, which will be sold by both TCS and Hughes, will provide international satellite coverage for government and military customers. The TCS HX Enabled Secure Satellite Network will support voice, data, and video communications. Suitable implementations for the network include Command and Control (C2) operations and Intelligence/Surveillance/Reconnaissance (ISR) transport, as well as providing Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) capacities for personnel deployed in combat and peacekeeping missions. The TCS HX Enabled Secure Satellite Network has an anticipated launch of early 2012. The service will be available on the General Services Administration (GSA) IT Schedule 70.
