Telekom rolls out UMTS mobile internet in East Germany

Telekom Deutschland has rolled out UMTS mobile internet services, supporting data speeds of up to 42.2 Mbps, to the communities of Luebben (BB), Niemegk (BB) and Rothemuehl. They can surf the internet at mobile data speeds of up to 42.2 Mbps using their home PC and a UMTS stick. A day pass costs EUR 4.95, with subscriptions for heavy users costing from EUR 29.95.
