Telekom Slovenije could be sold for EUR 700 million - report

Friday 1 November 2013 | 16:02 CET | News
The value of Telekom Slovenije is estimated at around EUR 700 million, with Deutsche Telekom mentioned as the most likely buyer, Slovenian daily Finance reported, citing market watchers. The sale is expected to take place next year. There could be possible complications only if the telecommunications infrastructure is separated from Telekom Slovenije, as was recently proposed by Slovenia Minister of Education, Science and Sport Jernej Pikalo. This would lower the estimated price. The price could also be adversely affected by lawsuits amounting to EUR 630 million. The company estimates it will have to pay about a tenth of that amount.
