Monday 2 June 2014 | 18:34 CET | News
Telekom Slovenije has become the first Slovenian network operator to launch LTE in the 800 MHz band. In the coming days, the operator will track operation of the two base stations in Ljubljana for the optimal integration of new technologies with the existing GSM and UMTS networks, and then continue to expand and upgrade the LTE network. Telekom Slovenije is planning to cover over 70 percent population with the 4G network by the end of the year and reach over 80 percent in 2015 and 95 percent by 2017. The network will incorporate the frequency bands 800 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2600 MHz.
