News
Australian communications carrier Telstra is spending AUD 30 million to clean up its billing systems and fix problems that were caused by the problematic rollout of its Siebel billing system. While many problems have already been fixed, the billing and sales system still suffer from multiple and complex "identity access" architectures that slow the process down, The Australian writes citing Telstra's head of digital, Gerd Schenkel. The company is now spending over AUD 30 million on an Oracle Identity Management suite. Telstra is on schedule to release the first stage of the new system towards the end of this year.
