TIM Brasil sells 1,500 iPhones 5 on launch date

TIM Brasil said it sold 1.5 million iPhone 5s during its launch events. According to the Reuters news agency, the operator exhausted its stocks on the first day of sales. Events were held in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Salvador, Recife and Belem. The company said that inventories should be restocked in the coming days to meet demand for Christmas. The operator was selling the iPhone 5 unlocked for between BRL 2,399 and BRL 2,999.
