Towercom to deliver fourth DVB-T multiplex by September

The company Towercom won the tender for the fourth DVB-T multiplex in Slovakia and obliged itself to launch commercial operations on the multiplex by 31 August 2012. As of that date the signal should cover 46.5 percent of the population. By 31 December 2012, the coverage should increase to 61 percent of the population. By the end of 2012, Towercom plans to provide at least the following services: EPG (electronic programme guide), MHP (e-government, online shopping) and a software update. The provider is obliged to pay the one-off charge of EUR 500,100 within fourteen days from the validity of the decision. The minimum amount in the tender was EUR 500,000.
