UCell launches LTE network

Uzbek mobile operator UCell, part of TeliaSonera, has launched a LTE network, providing mobile broadband services at speeds of up to 100 Mbps, reports Trend. UCell CEO Oguz Memiguven said the company will offer its customers new and exciting products on its LTE network. UCell has tested its LTE network in the centre of Tashkent. It involved streaming video, file uploads and downloads, and internet browsing, as well as calls with VoIP. ZTE supplied equipment for the UCell network. UCell will continue to expand the LTE network to increase coverage nationwide.
