UOKiK imposes PLN 1.8 mln fine on pay-TV operator

Polish national competition regulator UOKiK has imposed a PLN 1.806 million fine on pay-TV operator Canal+ Cyfrowy. The fine was given for activities carried out this past June. The operator sent letters to subscribers wishing to terminate their contracts. These customers had earlier posted termination letters but the company said they were also required to call, a condition not stipulated in the contracts.
