Tuesday 28 June 2011 | 05:22 CET | News
Long-haul telecommunications transport provider USCarrier Telecom has joined the interconnection and colocation data centre operator Telx's Ethernet Exchange to expand the reach of its own Ethernet service delivery footprint in the Southeastern US. By joining the Telx Ethernet Exchange in Telx's Atlanta data centre, USCarrier can now expand its reach to include previously underserved regions of Georgia. As a Telx Ethernet Exchange member, USCarrier can use community of carriers to expand their network footprint. Any network operator connected to any Telx or USCarrier exchange point will have the ability to virtually interconnect within Telx's Atlanta data centre. The Telx Ethernet Exchange is a part of the Telx Interconnection Center, a family of services that creates a community of Ethernet-enabled networks. Included with the Telx Ethernet Exchange is the Telx Connect Portal, an advanced e-commerce tool connecting publishers, subscribers, providers and consumers with buyers and sellers of advanced network and application based services.
