ViaSat files patent case against Space Systems/Loral Space

Satellite operator ViaSat has filed a complaint for patent infringement and breach of contract against Space Systems/Loral and Loral Space & Communications related to the unauthorised use of ViaSat's intellectual property, including technology ViaSat developed for its 100+ Gbps ViaSat-1 satellite. The lawsuit was filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of California. ViaSat is seeking monetary damages and a permanent injunction to prevent SS/L and Loral from continuing to use ViaSat technology.
