Vodacom launches Android Honeycomb tablet

Vodacom South Africa has launched the Vodafone SmartTab range of tablets in the country, reports MyBroadband. Head of corporate communications Nomsa Thusi said that the device is available at Vodacom World and that a list of participating outlets would be provided soon. The tablet comes in a 7-inch and a 10-inch variant and both versions have the same hardware otherwise. It runs on Android Honeycomb 3.2 and on top of the standard Android apps, it has QuickOffice Pro, which allows users to view, create and modify documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
