Vodafone Portugal launches interactive apps for Casa TV subs

Vodafone Portugal has launched interactive applications for its Vodafone Casa TV service subscribers. Customers can now access the Facebook and Picasa services directly on their home TV set. By year-end, Vodafone plans to add an application that allows access to traffic information. The apps are also integrated with Vodafone's mobile services, which enables users to subscribe to SMS alerts via the TV set. The apps are available free of charge for Vodafone Casa TV ADSL and fibre optic subscribers.
