Vodafone Romania launches iPhone 5 in four cities

Friday 2 November 2012 | 08:52 CET | News
Vodafone Romania has started selling Apple's iPhone 5 in the capital Bucharest and three other cities, namely Ploiesti, Cluj and Timisoara, writes local paper Ziarul Financiar citing CCO consumer business unit Mihai Ghyka. He spoke during an event held at the Vodafone Experience store in Bucharest that was organised on the occasion of the official launch of the smartphone. Ghyka estimates iPhone 5 sales to reach thousands of units by the end of the year and to be higher overall compared to sales of the smartphone's predecessor, the iPhone 4S. At Vodafone Romania, the iPhone 5 16GB is offered along with a subscription for a tariff plan at prices ranging between EUR 299 EUR 539. Without any contractual obligation, the 16GB model is available at EUR 739.
