Vodafone Turkey revenues up 19% in June quarter

Vodafone Turkey saw its service revenues for the fiscal first quarter to 30 June grow 18.7 percent to GBP 424 million. Vodafone Turkey ended June with a total of 18.352 million mobile customers, up a net 105,000 customers from 18.247 million in the fiscal fourth quarter to 31 March. Of the entire customer base, 66 percent were prepaid at end-June. Churn was 43.4 percent, up from 41.1 percent in the previous quarter. Postpaid churn rose to 27.3 percent from 25.7 percent, while prepaid churn grew to 51.6 percent from 48.4 percent in the earlier quarter. The number of voice minutes rose to 18.997 billion from 16.905 billion in the previous quarter. ARPU was TRY 20.9, up from TRY 19.2 a quarter ago. Postpaid ARPU grew to TRY 37.2 from TRY 35.8, while prepaid ARPU increased to TRY 12.7 from TRY 11.5.
