Telecompaper has an extensive consumer panel with detailed information about consumer behaviour. Our Consumer panel gives you a unique insight in the behaviour and current situation of Dutch consumers and the telecom services they are using. Our panel gives you solid results to support your business case, and delivers you the answer much faster on usage, sales, behaviour, intentions, spending, etc.

Every month we interview at least 2,000 Dutch consumers about their telecommunications preferences, spend and channels for fixed, mobile and internet. The result are CBS stratified for age between 15 – 65, gender and geographic location.

We started with our panel in August 2007, so historic information is available. At the moment we have the results of more than 90,000 respondents in our panel. Each month at least 2,000 respondents are questioned.

The Telecompaper Charts are based on our own consumer panel. The Charts will provide a quick overview of one subject in clear graphs. Should you want more or other information beyond our charts, our consumer panel also allows you to get answers to your specific questions. Intention to subscribe HBO/Film1

01 May 2012 | 1 page(s) The chart illustrates the intention of Dutch consumers to subscribe pay TV services HBO and Film1. The question asked was: "Pay TV service HBO became available at Ziggo in February. You have to pay a fixed amount for the HBO package (offering known series such as Sex and the City, Entourage, Band of Brothers) alongside your standard TV package. As well as HBO there is also pay TV service Film1, which also offers films (TV Film premières, arthouse) and series. How likely are you to add HBO and/or Film1 to your TV package? If you are not a Ziggo customer, we would kindly ask you to answer the question as if HBO were also available from your TV provider." Statements on changes in KPN's fixed telephony bundles

01 May 2012 | 1 page(s) This chart shows to what degree consumers agree with nine statements concerning change in KPN's fixed telephony bundles. The question asked was: "KPN has changed its unlimited call bundles for fixed telephony in February and March. The fixed monthly rate has risen by 50 percent, but customers will now also get unlimited calls to mobile numbers included in the bundle. See below a few statements on this change. Could you indicate to which degree you agree with these statements?" The possible answers were: totally agree; agree; neutral; disagree; totally disagree. The following statements were included: The change from KPN is a disguised price increase; I prefer fixed telephony bundled with other services (e.g. internet) than a separate fixed telephony; In general, I use the fixed telephone only to receive calls; At home, I use my mobile telephone more often than my fixed telephone; The change is not relevant to me, because I don't often call mobile numbers; The change in KPN's bundles is positive, because I am calling more often to mobile numbers; These kind of changes are not relevant for me, I am wondering if I should end my fixed telephony subscription; I don't use the fixed telephone to call others; I call more via VoIP services such as Skype than via fixed telephony. Satisfaction of various smartphone aspects

28 Mar 2012 | 1 page(s) This chart shows the satisfaction of Dutch consumers with different aspects of their most used smartphone on a scale from one to five. The question asked was: "Can you indicate to what extent you are satisfied with the following aspects of your most used handset? If you possess a normal phone, you are asked to answer not applicable for all aspects." The answer options (Totally satisfied; Satisfied; Not satisfied, not unsatified; Unsatisfied; Totally unsatisfied) have been converted to numbers (5,4,3,2,1) from which the average is calculated. Don't knows and those not owning a smartphone have been excluded. The following smartphone aspects were included: In general; Usability; Appeareance; Weight; Size; Quality screen; Touchscreen; Stand-by time; Mobile operating system; Digital camera; Sound quality; GPS connection; 3G access; Wi-Fi connection. The results are shown for the total market and for five handset brands.
