The chart shows to which degree consumers agree with three statements concerning the dissapearance of independent telecom stores. The question asked was: "Last year independent telecom store chains Belcompany and T-for-Telecom have been taken over by respectively telecom providers Vodafone and KPN. Thereby, there are less telecom stores which sells product from several providers. Below a few statements on this. Can you indicate to which degree you agree with these statements? Also if you never buy a mobile phone connection, we kindly ask you to share your thoughts about these statements or think what will be your actions." The answer possibilities were: totally agree; agree; neither agree, nor disagree; disagree; totally disagree. Those who did not have an opinion are excluded from the results. The following statements were included: I expect to get better informed at the telecom store which offers products from several providers than at stores from the telecom provider (which only sells its own products); I except to receive a cheap offer at the telecom store which offers products from several providers, because there is more choice; This does not change anything. If I want to buy a new handset and/or subscription/ prepaid connection, I would even go to the store from mobile telecom providers as well as to a telecom store which sells products from several providers. The results are shown for the total market. Source: Telecompaper Consumer Panel. Results are CBS stratified on gender and age (15-65). The survey data is from January 2012 (n=2,186).
