Archos releases Bluetooth-based Smart Home pack

French mobile device maker Archos has launched its Smart Home pack, comprising an Android tablet, 2 mini cams, 2 motion detection tags and 2 weather tags to measure heat and humidity. The connected home platform uses Bluetooth Smart technology, enhanced by in-house teams to double the range from 10 to 20 m and tripling its capacity from 4 to 13 connected objects. The tablet can also control 433 MHz objects, used by many home automation products. Users install the Archos Smart Home and Tasker apps to operate the system.
