Emitel wins tender for DAB+ for Polish Radio

Emitel has defeated competitor Polskie Sieci Nadawcze i Bcast, and will provide the transmission of terrestrial digital signals of Polish Radio in Warsaw, Katowice and Silesian agglomeration from 2014 for three years, reports Rpkom.pl. The tender was divided into three parts which Emitel budgeted at PLN 620,000, PLN 975,000 and PLN 487,000. Polish Radio has now ten days to sig the contract. The coverage of the signal is 7 million Poles. By the end of 2014, Polish Radio would like to increase its coverage to 56 percent of the population and 30 percent of the territory.
