Entropic Communications opens office in Japan

Thursday 17 February 2011 | 08:02 CET | News
Fabless semiconductor company Entropic Communications has opened an office in Shin-Yokohama, Japan. The office will provide sales and technical support to Entropic's existing and new Japanese partners and customers that are looking to drive their consumer electronics offerings from connected and 3D televisions to enhanced IP set-top boxes embedded with competitive MoCA standard silicon and software for the connected home entertainment market. In addition to its MoCA silicon and software, Entropic will also provide local support and services for its other core business areas, including direct broadcast satellite (DBS) satellite outdoor unit (ODU) services, which enable service by supporting multiple tuners over a single cable and broadband access services. Entropic will also provide support and services for multi-mode hybrid silicon tuner products.
