Friday 29 August 2014 | 16:06 CET | News

In partnership with Nike, Samsung Electronics has introduced the Nike+ Running App for the newly introduced Samsung Gear S. The app leverages the Samsung Gear S' built-in Bluetooth and 3G connectivity features to integrated Nike's running experience for Gear users.

By integrating the Nike+ Running App with the Samsung Gear S, users can leave their phones at home and still be able to map runs, track progress and stay motivated. During a workout, runners are able to view running metrics including distance, pace, heart rate, NikeFuel earned, time, routes and speed. The app is also equipped with a built-in music player, enabling runners to tap the Gear S to select music in a playlist. In addition, the Nike+ Running App leverages the Samsung Gear S' 3G connection to deliver real-time cheers from Facebook friends.
