Former Belgacom CEO Bellens dies

The former Belgacom CEO Didier Bellens died on 28 February. Bellens was 60 years of age. He served as CEO from 2003 to 2013, helping list part of the the state-owned company on the stock market and leading its launch of TV services. However, his period in office was not without scandal, with questions about his high salary and role in various property deals. As a result he was replaced in 2013 by former Microsoft executive Dominique Leroy.
