Google dominated Azerbaijan's search engine market across all platforms (computers, mobile devices, and tablets) with a 94.19 percent share in May, Report informs, citing Statcounter. Dutch media spend rises 7% in April, VodafoneZiggo and Delta gain share

Media spending in the Dutch telecom sector rose 7 percent year-on-year to EUR 23.0 million in April 2026, up from EUR 21.5 million in April 2025, according to market researcher Nielsen. VodafoneZiggo increased its share of voice by 4 percentage points to 41 percent, while Odido halved its share over the same period. Despite economic pressures, consumers are continuing to prioritise spending on home entertainment and watching more daily video than at any time since 2021, according to the latest Video Trends Report (Q4 2025) from Tivo. Kosovo's telecommunications sector experienced a 7.7 percent year-on-year revenue increase in the first quarter of 2026 to EUR 44.2 million, although this was a 7.4 percent sequential decline from the previous quarter. New research from TalkTalk shows that Brits are addicted to micro-scrolling, with more than three quarters (78%) admitting to instinctively picking up their mobile phones in spare seconds for quick scrolling hits lasting on average 1 minutes and 48 seconds. New research from BT-owned EE, lead partner of the Home Nations Football Associations (FAs), shows that Brits plan adapt their viewing of the 2026 FIFA World Cup due to the late kick-offs. The majority (over 80%) of Brits said the late starts will change how they watch football games this summer, with many planning to focus on key matches or catch up later. YouTube daily viewing time exceeds Netflix in 2025 - study

Average daily YouTube viewing per account rose to 99.1 minutes in 2025 from 87.2 million in 2024, according to streaming media measurement company Digital i. The figures are based on readings in 20 markets. YouTube was ahead of Netflix, for which annual daily usage per accounted dropped to 93.4 minutes in 2025 from 100.5 minutes in 2024. South Koreans used YouTube the most per day in 2025 at 161.5 minutes but the biggest growth at 33.6 percent was in France.

Rogers Communications said it has been named the best and most reliable 5G+ network in Canada by network performance benchmarking company Umlaut. Rogers has also won the 'Best in Test' mobile benchmark award for the 8th consecutive year; and had the highest scores for data, voice and reliability for mobile networks. Two thirds of Brits annoyed by slow, unreliable broadband - Vodafone

New research from Vodafone UK shows that slow/unreliable broadband is the biggest annoyance for 67 percent of Brits; with 4 million saying they would consider moving home to get improved connectivity. Over one third (35%) of Brits would not stay anywhere with patch WiFi broadband, with 20 percent cutting visits to parents/family short due to poor connectivity. Almost one quarter (24%) of Brits say they rely on using their mobile phone as a hotspot at home due to slow broadband.
