Orange Luxembourg revenues increase 4% in H2, EBITDA dips slightly

Orange Luxembourg returned to revenue growth in the six months to December, reporting a 3.9 percent year-on-year increase to EUR 40.9 million, following a 0.6 percent decline in H1. Mobile service revenues were stable at EUR 20.6 million as the customer base fell to 248,000, compared with 263,000 in June 2025 and 258,000 at the end of 2024. Dutch operator Odido is introducing StreamNL, a live stream event with viewer interaction during the winter Olympics. The format, used already in football, will see two hosts chat live with the public and guests during the online stream of the 1,000 meter speed skating competition featuring Odido ambassador Jutta Leerdam. The live stream takes place 09 February on YouTube.

Orange Belgium suffers 1.5% fall in H2 revenues but EBITDA grows 3.4% on synergies

Orange Belgium reported revenues for the second half of 2025 down 1.5 percent year-on-year to EUR 1.00 billion. The operator blamed the weaker sales on competition as well as the loss of Belgian football coverage. Its postpaid mobile base continued to grow, adding 38,000 customers to reach 3.55 million at year-end, but this was around half the growth of a year earlier. On the fixed market growth also slowed, with just 5,000 net additions for a total 1.04 million customers.

Telenet must stop advertising its broadband offers with the terms fiber, fibre or glasvezel, according to a ruling from the Antwerp commercial court reported by Belga news agency. The case was brought by rival Proximus, which is the main FTTH provider in the country.

Dutch telecom, cloud sectors call for more support from new govt coalition

The new Dutch government should name a minister for digital affairs to help accelerate its plans, according to a statement from the Dutch Cloud Community (DCC). The industry group welcomed the new government coalition agreement and called for a quick, concrete execution of the digital ambitions. Clear choices, sufficient investment and active engagement with the sector are needed to realise the aim of digital autonomy, the group said.

Citymesh names COO Tranchet as General Manager

Belgian operator Citymesh has named Joeri Tranchet, currently Chief Operating Officer, the General Manager of the company. CEO Mitch De Geest will focus more on the strategic course and future of the group. Citymesh said the new management structure marks a new phase in its development, to focus on critical connectivity and 5G solutions for the business market. This includes plans to expand in Europe with private 5G services and a stronger position on the Belgian B2B market.

Eurofiber acquires data centre connectivity provider LuxNetwork

Telecom infrastructure group Eurofiber announced that its Belgian subsidiary has acquired LuxNetwork, a Luxembourg‑based provider of business‑critical connectivity. LuxNetwork's portfolio includes internet access, Ethernet, SD‑WAN, and data centre connectivity services. Local customers will continue to receive dedicated support from LuxNetwork's office in Bettembourg.

Proximus director convicted in Casino insider trading case

Proximus board member Franck-Philippe Georgin should step down from his position, according to a statement from the Belgian minister for state companies, Vanessa Matz. This follows his conviction in France for corruption during his time as CEO at the French supermarket group Casino. Along with other top executives, he was accused of manipulating Casino's stock price.

Voys acquires Verbonden

Voys announced the takeover of Verbonden to expand its offering of VoIP services in the Netherlands. The share transfer took effect at the start of 2026, after the companies already worked together for several years. Verbonden is a white-label partner providing VoIP services to Voys customers under its own brand. Customers should see no change in service from the takeover.

Dutch king, economy minister visit KPN NOC

KPN is receiving a visit from King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and the Dutch economy minister Vincent Karremans at its Netwerk and Security Operations Center in Hilversum on 04 February. They will receive a presentation of the telecom operator's real-time network monitoring and security operations and speak with staff on their efforts to maintain a reliable network.

Citymesh relaunches on B2B market with own mobile network

Belgian operator Citymesh is relaunching its mobile and broadband plans for businesses, using its own mobile network. The company said it is looking to challenge the existing operators with an offering of not just low prices, but flexible service designed exclusively for businesses. The launch is accompanied by a new website and marketing campaign, with the tagline 'Reliable network. Good service. Sharp prices. That's the deal.'

RTBF, RTL obtain court order blocking illegal IPTV services

The main francophone broadcasters in Belgium, RTBF and RTL, have obtained a court order against illegal IPTV services. As a result, ISPs in the country must block access by their customers to the illegal services. The two companies filed the joint suit with the commercial court to protect the copyright of their programming.

Odido launches new business FWA service with outdoor modem

Dutch operator Odido is introducing an outdoor modem for its fixed-wireless service for businesses. Named 5G Internet Pro, the service promises improved speeds and capacity thanks to the stronger signal outdoors. It costs EUR 50 per month, including the modem rental. Speeds of 500 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload can be expected, with capacity for up to 20 simultaneous users.

Telenet signs TVOD deal with Kinepolis cinema chain

Belgian cable operator Telenet has signed a TVOD deal with the cinema chain Kinepolis. As a result, relatively new films will be available to rent on its TV platform, and on the app of its broadcast arm Play Media. Customers can buy or rent the movies. In addition, cinema tickets for Kinepolis will be sold on the Telenet platforms.

Freedom and Solcon named best internet providers in Q4 consumer survey

Freedom Internet and KPN's brand Solcon were the best internet providers in Q4 2025 according to the latest rankings by the consumers union. The Consumentenbond awarded both a score of 7.8 points out of 10. Freedom Internet also received the top score for fixed multi-plays, at 7.8, down slightly from 8.1 in the previous quarter. The ISP scored especially well on internet quality (9.0), fixed telephony (9.1) and overall value (9.2).

NVA MP calls for Proximus chairman to give up salary

Proximus chairman Stefaan de Clerck should give up his salary for the past year, according to a call from Michael Freilich, a member of the Belgian parliament for the ruling NVA party. This would be a fitting sign of him taking responsibility for the telecom operator's strategic choices in recent years, Freilich said in a blog post reported by De Tijd.

KPN issues new eurobond to refinance debt due in 2026, 2029

KPN announced a new debt offering for refinancing. The Dutch operator is issuing a EUR 500 million eurobond under its Global Medium Term Note programme, with interest at 3.5 percent and maturity in May 2034. At the same time it's launching tender offers to repurchase two existing debt issues. This includes GBP 250 million outstanding on a 5 percent bond due in 2026 and up to GBP 300 million of a 5.75 percent issue due in 2029.
